Figs with Honey and Spices
This full of nutrition sweet snack is even more delicious with yogurt.
- 10-15 dried figs
- 1 cinnamon (small bark)
- 3 cloves
- 1 laurel leaf
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 cup almonds, blanched
- 1 cup thyme (tea)
Empty the thyme tea in a saucepan, add the laurel leaf, figs, cinnamon, cloves and honey.
Add two cups of water and simmer for 6-8 minutes.
Cover the saucepan with its lid and continue simmering until the figs get tender and soak well in the spiced juice.
Serve them with their syrup and almonds.
