Whiskey Bar 56 for a Cosy Weeknight Drink

56 is a whiskey bar well-hidden among the trees and bushes on the bottom floor of an apartment building in Kolonaki, a well to do area of Athens. Climb a thousand steps and find a bar unlike the usual "trendy" and fast-paced atmosphere that dominates a lot of the places in this neighbourhood; 56 is slow and timeless. Offering a wide variety of whiskeys, and an intimidating bar tender/owner who has a hard outer shell that slowly breaks to reveal a caring and interesting person. You will find popcorn, grilled ham and cheese sandwich and nuts. A man of few words calls for a fragmented list of a story.
