Fried Smelt

A simple and extremely tasty dish. All you need is very small smelt, a little flour and minced onion.A crispy delicacy, ideal with ouzo.

Ingredients:

  • 30 very small smelt
  • flour
  • 1 large  minced onion

Procedure:

Mix flour with minced onion

Dip smelt into flour while wet.

Fry smelt over high heat.

Tips

The secret is that when dipped in flour, the smelt should be a little wet, so that when fried over a high heat they stick together and forms a cake.
