Perfect French Toast

This delicious type of French toast is the perfect meal to wake up to!

  • ½ lit of skim milk
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 150 gr of sugar
  • 125 gr of butter
  • 400 gr of stale bread loaf, sliced

For the syrup:

  • 150 gr of sugar
  • 150 gr of water


Boil the milk and sugar. Allow to cool.

Beat the eggs well with the milk and sugar mixture.

Melt the butter in a large, non-stick pan. Take care that the butter doesn’t burn and turn black (melt over low heat).

Dip each slice of bread into the mixture so that both sides are coated and fry till golden brown, both sides.

As each slice is cooked, place in a shallow tray.

Once all the slices have been cooked, boil the syrup for 5 minutes and then pour it over the slices in the tray.

Leave the bread in the tray for 3-4 minutes, and then sprinkle with cinnamon.
