Ingredients:

1 1/2 kg of veal
300 gr of Kefalotyricheese or a yellow hard cheese of your region
8-10 cloves of garlic
1/2 small cup of butter
1 glass of white wine
salt
pepper

Procedure:

Ask your butcher to slice the veal finely and pound it to widen it. Trim the sides so that each piece is the same size and shape. Dice the cheese in a bowl.

Lay out the veal slices on a chopping board, sprinkle with salt and pepper, place a line of cheese lengthwise and sprinkle over the garlic "paste".

Roll the veal up and tie with fine thread or a toothpick. Season the outer layer as well.

Heat the oil and butter in a pan. Brown the veal rolls on all sides.

Once browned, pour in the wine, simmer and add a glass of water. Cover, reduce heat and allow to simmer gently. If necessary, add a little more water during cooking.

Once cooked, cool until slightly warm, remove the thread and slice.

Tips

Serve with pilaf rice, mashed potato or French fries. Pour a little of the sauce over the accompaniment.
