Peach

The stone fruit of deciduous Prunus tree, cultivated worldwide in temperate climates. The sweet, juicy, aromatic flesh may be white, yellow or orange, surrounds a large rough central stone and is enclosed in a downy or smooth skin ranging in colour from cream to orange/pink. It is eaten raw as is, or cooked and poached as a dessert and for jam.
