Louiza

The Greek name for lemon verbena, a perennial shrub up to 7m in height, that exudes a powerful lemon scent. Its leaves are long, thin, curved and light green in colour, while its tiny flowers are a pale lavender colour. It is used to flavour fish and poultry, in salad dressings, jams, sorbets and marinades, and as a relacing herbal tea.
