The 88th National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Michigan

The mission of the National Cherry Festival in Michigan is to celebrate cherries, tourism and community involvement. The first Festival was held in 1926.


The Ultimate Celebration of Cherries is this National Cherry Festival. It's Held Every Year in July in the "Cherry Capital of the World"- Traverse City, Michigan. This year join the festival July 5-12, 2014! Over 500,000 visitors attend the eight days show.  Check out the schedule of the festival's events.




On July 11th, at noon time, you will be able to join  with the NMC Hagerty Center Chefs and indulge in cherry inspired dishes. Some dishes you can will taste include - Norconk Family Asparagus with Balsamic Cherry Glaze and Double L Farms BBQ Chicken with Leelanau Cherry Sauce. 
We propose some of the recipes with cherries that smell with an authentic Mediterranean  touch.
